3. Sleeper Hold
The point of any choke or hold is to stop oxygen moving through the neck to the head. This is unfortunate as that also happens to be where your brain lives., the air choke and the blood choke, with the former cutting off the air to the lungs by compressing the trachea, and the latter cutting off oxygen rich blood on its way to the brain by compressing the carotid artery.Brain cells begin to die off almost immediately when oxygen is cut off and damage to the brain stem will mean spending the rest of your days on life support.An air choke will take a couple of minutes to work, but a blood choke will put someone out in less than 10 seconds.
